THE Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO Acceptance Fee payment procedure for the 2017/2018 academic year for newly admitted students has commenced

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri, (FUTO) has just released the merit admission list of candidates who are offered provisional admission into the Institution for the 2017/2018 Academic Session and as such, has release the acceptance fee payment schedule for admitted candidates.

All the applicants who sat for the screening test and are yet to check their admission status can do so by clicking here.

The council has fixed January 12, 2018 as the closing date of registration for the first series of private candidates which was earlier scheduled to close December 29. The council said candidates are expected to pay a registration fee of N13,950 and a commission of N500 to banks and accredited agents. According to the timetable, the examination is scheduled to start on January 29 and end on February 12,2018. WAEC withholds 14,756 Aug/Oct results

KATSINA—The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, yesterday, released the 2017 August/ October WASSCE results for private candidates, saying those of 14,756 candidates, representing 11.07 percent, were being withheld due to examination malpractice. WASSEC candidate WAEC Head of National Office, Nigeria, Mr. Olu Adenipekun, stated this while announcing the release of the results in a briefing in Katsina. Adenipekun said 34,664 candidates, representing 26.01 percent obtained minimum of five credits in five subjects and above, including English Language and Mathematics. The result showed candidates’ low performance of about 12.49 percent, when compared to the 2016 results put at 38.50 percent. Adenipekun was quick to say the examination body has not carried out a scientific investigation on what could have happened in terms of the candidates’ performances.
